Global Missions

We are on Mission . . . a journey . . . a life of purpose that touches others wherever we are and wherever we go. At Christ Community Church we believe that God has called us be witnesses of Christ wherever we are, but especially to the city in which God has placed us. That is the beginning point. Our Vision Statement is:

Christ Community Church exist to reach unchurched people and help them grow to become fully devoted followers of Jesus in order to transform our city for Christ . . . and beyond.

'And beyond' is our mission to go beyond the boundaries of our city and participate in reaching the world for Christ. This is accomplished in various ways:

In addition to our support of Missions collectively, Christ Community Church supports missionaries who are directly related to our church and its global vision to change the world, beginning in Athens and extending around the world. Meet some of our missionaries:

Pastors Joseph and Comfort Annan: Ghana West Africa

Pastor Joseph is a renowned speaker and leader in Africa and in other countries including Southeast Asia. He has served as national and international preacher for a major African denomination.

In 2001 Pastor Annan began a ministry in Akim-Oda: International Gospel Power Ministries. This growing ministry has reached into the surrounding villages making inroads to a vast population previously by-passed. He has seen hundreds come to Christ through his outreach with the Jesus film and his evangelistic team.

Pastor Joseph is currently building a church in Akim-Oda that will house the International Gospel Power Ministries. His growing congregation partners with Christ Community Church to develop a witness that ties the two churches together in a global outreach and discipleship ministry.

Pastor Carlos and Pastor Joseph frequently travel to each other's churches for conferences, worship services and outreach events.

Elaine Wilburn: Morelia Mexico

Sensing God's call at a time when her children were grown and her life was taking a new direction, Elaine went to Mexico, not knowing Spanish, and without support from church bases, or a denomination. She began a ministry to the children of Morelia and the women who were often forgotten.

Having served in Morelia for twenty years she now has the strong support of the pastors there who recognize her as a gift from God, sent to help them reach the vast numbers of children and women that flood the churches often without the teaching necessary to grow in their faith.

Elaine began Pastors Conferences to teach and equip the pastors and church leaders that often lack the training to train and equip their leadership for future growth. For ten years now, these conferences - attended by hundreds of pastors and church leaders from the surrounding areas - have greatly impacted the churches of Morelia and beyond.
